About Us
In Croatian, aunt is teta, and tetino means “aunt’s” - a little nod to where it all began.
tetino started in 2022 with a small pink crochet bag my aunt made for me.
I wore it everywhere, and soon enough, my friends started asking where it was from. It inspired me to learn how to crochet and start making bags of my own, just as a hobby. That little hobby slowly grew into tetino.
For three years, mini crochet bags were at the heart of our brand. We made everything by hand, in seasonal drops, and watched our collections sell out within hours. Along the way, we built a small community and are so grateful for everyone who believed in us, supported us, and made those first years so special.
Now, tetino entered a new chapter.
We moved from crochet into sewn bags, using unique fabrics sourced from Shanghai, Florence, and London - with more finds from around the world to come. Because we work with limited fabrics, many of our bags are made in small numbers - sometimes just a handful of pieces, sometimes only one. Some will return, while others will be one of a kind.
Still handmade in Croatia. Still an aunt and her niece. Just a new chapter. ❤︎
p.s. tetino is pronounced TÉ-ti-no, with the emphasis on the first “e”.
